Of all the Disney princesses, Ariel is the only one who is a mother to her own child. And perhaps this is the reason that this plucky heroine is considered to be so smart, beautiful and caring.
But what really defines an Ariel personality is that she’s otherwise very conventional. No airs. No complexes. And no drama. Certainly she has her share of problems in her love life, but this is probably due to her lack of decisiveness and her lack of interest in tying herself down.
Unlike many princesses, an Ariel is quite capable of fending for herself and her work life is so down to earth that she’s happy doing anything from bookkeeping to waitressing.
