Collies have beautiful thick fur and aren’t afraid to rough and tumble. Its ideal day is comprised of romping through the rough and spending the night calmly with its owners. While allergies should be no problem, they do shed quite a bit of fur. If that turns out to be a problem, opt for a smooth collie instead of a rough collie. With colors ranging from white, sable, blue merle, sable white and tri-color, it’s easy to fall in love with this good-looking dog.
Positive words of encouragement and endless love are required, and this dog tends to get bored rather quickly so regular vigorous exercise and intellectual stimulation is a must. Be prepared to start training from an early age as these dogs tend to become stubborn heel nippers otherwise.
